Today, Clarifai announced that Jacqueline Tame, the former Acting Deputy Director of the DoD’s Joint Artificial Intelligence Center (JAIC), has joined the company as a senior advisor and member of its Public Sector Advisory Council.
Our team is thrilled to partner with Jacqueline and re-envision how the U.S. Government works with best-in-class technology companies. Jacqueline brings to Clarifai her very unique expertise - not only shaping DoD technology policy, but also implementing repeatable, outcome-based AI programs. Jacqueline is one of the few people that has successfully worked with Congress to define and fund the US government’s AI policy. Her insight and expertise will be invaluable in guiding our research and development towards solutions that accelerate our nation's capabilities in artificial intelligence.
At the JAIC, Ms. Tame oversaw day-to-day operations, advised DoD AI leadership and led engagements with the White House and Congress to raise awareness of DoD AI programs and shape policy. Ms. Tame is known for her expertise in defense and intelligence policy; leveraging emerging technologies and process reform to drive large-scale, organizational modernization efforts; and legislative affairs.
Ms. Tame has also served as a Senior Advisor to the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security; Senior Staffer on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence; Chief of Customer Engagement at the Defense Intelligence Agency; Advisor to the Chief of Naval Operations; and Policy Advisor to the Deputy Director of National Intelligence. Ms. Tame holds a Master of Public Affairs degree from the University of Texas, and a Masters degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College.
Ms. Tame joins Lieutenant General (Retired) Robert P. Ashley, Jr. and Major General Barbara Fast, U.S. Army, Ret., who joined Clarifai earlier this year as senior advisors and members of its Public Sector Advisory Council.
Ms. Tame joins Clarifai as we expand our resources and commitments to our public sector. Clarifai's partnership with the U.S. Government has accelerated our ability to innovate and thus helps us push the state-of-the-art in artificial intelligence in a way that benefits our global community of developers and data scientists across public sector and commercial organizations. We could not be prouder to have this opportunity to advance the missions of the U.S. Federal Government, including the Department of Defense, the Intelligence Community and Civilian agencies, with computer vision and natural language processing AI solutions.
